Teacher Led Instruction
INTERACTIVE Digital Handbook
This handbook was created and published using google slides. All of the tabs are active and will skip to the indicated section. This handbook gets posted on my teacher website as well as in the student's Google Classroom. Everything from my grading procedures to course expectations can be easily found in this single document.
Digital Worksheet
In this field it is difficult to find ready made materials that cover the necessary material and assess student understanding. I enjoy creating original materials that students can access from any device. These original materials also ensure I am able to assess the required curricular objectives. I format the slide in a way that the numbers, images and arrows cannot be moved by the student. The answers are provided and students are asked to 'unscramble' and move the answers to the number that correctly identifies that part of the camcorder. This is particularly helpful after a short lecture introducing a new piece of equipment.
Project Rubric
In addition to providing a rubric through Google Classroom Assignments a digital copy is always made available with further detail. Over my many years teaching video production I continue to look for the best possible way to assess project based work. A rubric is the clearest outline of expectations for a student. I often say to my classes that I am not grading your project based on the acting or your ability to make me laugh. It is all about the recently learned skills and the rubric explains how your use of those skills will be evaluated in the project.
